How Long Is Healing Time After Treating The Tibial Plateau Fracture Post Injury?

Question: Hello – – I had an incident about a week ago where I was zip lining and took an impact upon landing with my knee… I have a history of a missing lateral meniscus and other arthroscopic surgeries for my left knee, and when I impacted there was a large pinch… Fast-forward, an MRI showed a lateral nondisplaced tibial plateau stress fracture, and I was told to put on my brace on and crutches until I see the doctor in a few days… I cannot reach full extension, and when I wait there Weight bear there it is not painful until I turn and hit that "perfect" spot where there is a large pinch where the fracture is… Can you help me predict what the healing procedures will be?
Brief Answer:
Heals in 4-6 weeks.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
An undisplaced fracture of lateral tibial plateau will heal with brace in 4-6 weeks. It is better to avoid any painful movements. You can walk if it is painless. An undisplaced fracture usually heals well and after some physiotherapy you can regain the full range of movement after the fracture is healed.
I hope this answers your query.
