How Long Is The Recovery Time After Fistulotomy?
Question: Hi
I had fistulotomy 2 months before. Healing seems to be completed but I can feel some hard core like skin in that area and a little bit of irritation.
Will this irritation persist for lifetime or will it go away.
Is it ok to use virgin coconut oil on that area

I dont feel any pain. Just the skin around this area seems to be little swollen and tender. I also feel a strange tightness and irritation around this area.
Just wanted to confirm will this last forever or go as the time passes. Also can i use virgin coconut oil in this area.

Hi,
Thanks for the additional information.
I saw the picture (not very clear).
There are three possibilities -
1. External hemorrhoids
2. Perianal abscess
3. Folliculitis
Virgin coconut oil may not help much.
Clinical examination must be done to find the exact cause for which you need to consult your doctor.
