Brief Answer:
Consider an antispasmodic and imbibe Isapgol husk after consulting your doctor

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
As your doctor says there may be spastic colon, which may happen for other reasons; also besides being an effect of the medicines you were taking. Dulcolax itself increases colon motility and contraction. I think it is good to stop Dulcolax and pain medicines if back is okay and bowel movements improved. However, I would be taking Isapgol husk daily and Drotaverine tabs if I were to have spasticity of colon. You may consult your doctor if colon symptoms are there. It takes a few days for a bowel spasm to subside on its own and Isapgol husk and Drotaverine may be helpful to hasten regulation and control spasms/irritable bowels symptomatically, if your doctor agrees with
you, that is.
Best Wishes,
Regards.
