what prevents anaphylactic allergic reactions to shots ?
Brief Answer:
Following are the things that can prevent anaphylaxis.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your follow up question on Health Care Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Anaphylaxis is very uncommon and one can not predict it.
Occurrence of anaphylaxis can not be expected in any person.
But patients with known allergies in past are at higher risk for anaphylaxis. Penicillin allergy had more chances of anaphylaxis.
Fir prevention of anaphylaxis
1. Detailed history of allergy with drugs, mites, dust or chemical should be taken.
2. Family history of allergy in patient should also be evaluated in detail.
3. Testing allergens should be of good quality and minimum amount should be injected.
4. Better to get done serum IgE and eosinophilia count before allergy testing.
It is always recommended to do allergy testing at well equipped and certified allergy labs where facilities are available to tackle anaphylaxis.
Hope I have solved your query.
