Brief Answer: Can be treated. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for posting your query. MRSA infection in the colon is a difficult infection to treat but there are antibiotics to take care of the infection. It is best to start with the treatment as early as possible to control the infection early. It is not a fatal infection. This might need a reduction in the dose of prednisolone for a better response. Do get the appropriate antibiotic prescribed from your treating physician. I hope this answers your query. In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out. Wishing you good health. Regards. Dr. Praveen Tayal.
