Pain started 8/16 in the am. Saw local MD on Monday 8/18. Started with 2 300mg capsules on 8/18, 8/19, 8/20. 3 capsules every day since. I have not had any pain for 2 or 3 days. cannot see my MD until next week. Sounds like you think it would be OK to taper to 2 capsules per day for a couple of days and then stop. That would use about all the meds prescribed. I think there were 30 with no refills.
What about the suggestion to see a neurologist? How do you feel about that?

I would advise you to continue with the same dose for a week and then to make it 200 mg a day and later 100 mg a day and to stop in 15 days.
But consult your doctor before acting on it.
