How To Diagnose Quadricep Tendonitis?
Question: Last time I inquired about my knee when going up and down stairs, especially on my right leg which has limited mobility because of childhood posterior tibial transfer, overweight, and its effects on my gait. Now I am wondering if in fact this is quadricep tendonitis instead of arthritis. If so, which tests distinguish between them, and what therapy would help? I don't usually feel any discomfort when walking, except for the stairs, and an incline. Thanks.
Brief Answer:
MRI knee will help to distinguish between two
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case.
MRI knee will help to distinguish between two.
Also nuclear scan will spot the hot area where disease is going on.
Quadriceps tendinitis can be managed conservatively with physiotherapy with USG and TENS or matrix therapy.
Sometimes steroid shot or laser therapy may help.
Arthroscopic shaving may give results if no recovery by conservative treatment.
