Brief Answer:
700 ml is sufficient for baby's weight gain.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for posting your query. Followings are my comments:

1) Baby should take breast milk as much as possible for first 6 months. However, breast milk may not be always sufficient.

Following measures should be taken to increase breast milk:

a) Drink water 2-3 liter/ day along with other fluids.

b) Take LACTARE granule with milk (2-3 times daily) or special lactation cookies.

c) Take OATMEAL regularly in breakfast time. Eat fresh vegetables (including Carrots, Fennel etc) and fruits.

d) Manual breast compression or breast pump is also helpful to extract milk.

2) Total 700 ml (breast + formula) is sufficient for baby's weight gain. Check her body weight in weekly manner and make a growth chart.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish her good health and take care yourself.

Regards,
Dr S Patra
