Brief Answer:
Stage 0 is precancerous lesion

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear,

Carcinoma cervix is divided into 4 stages (0, 1, 2, 3, 4), based on extent of the disease.
Stage 0 is actually a precancerous lesion (CIN), and not cancer.
CIN is divided into CIN 1, 2, and 3 based on histological appearance (closeness to cancer increases with increasing stage). When timely treatment is instituted, this can be cured and prevented from progression to cancer. The only thing is that, regular followup is required.
Kindly stick on to your gynecologist.

Hope this will answer your query.
Wishing you good health.
Thank you.
