Question: Dr changed my medicine from flexiril 10 mg to metaxalone 800 mg. What is the difference or are tey similar in strength?

I have gone through your medical history in detail.

Both the medicines are muscle relaxants,but Flexiril 10 mg is less potent as compared to metaxalone 800 mg.Both are used for the same purpose i.e,pain and muscle spasms.But,strengthwise,metaxalone is more effective and will prove you better relief from symptoms.

What are your present symptoms?
What is the diagnosis for which you have been prescribed metaxalone?
