Is RBC Count Of 2.57 A Cause For Concern?
further necessary action
Detailed Answer:
Dear
Thanks for contacting with your health concern and after reviewing your case history I'm of the following opinion:
1. Please upload complete CBC and Hemogram reports for complete knowledge of all values
2. As TLC is high thus 2 reasons has to be excluded:
i. Pathological: marked leucocytosis [in lakhs] could be due to Chronic Myeloid Leukemia [any associated symptoms like fever, fainting, bleeding, bruising, weight loss, and general pain[?
PS. let me know about the DLC [differential leucocyte count] report
ii. Leukaemoid reaction: reflects the response of normal healthy bone marrow to various stresses [commonest are]:
- Disseminated tuberculosis or any severe infection
- Malignancy [breast,lung,kidney]
- Severe Hemolysis
- Application of cytokines
PS. check with a Pathohematologist to find out the cause of rising TLC and if its physiological do let me know so that I can guide you regarding the proper medicine(s) which I prepare myself and can be given in such patients
PS. bhasma if procured from the reputed pharmacy will not cause any rise in TLC

1. There is presence of blasts cell, myelocyte, metamyelocyte and prometamyelocyte whose value in percentage is ‘0’ for all ages
2. There is a shift to left in myeloid series which means there is an increase in the number of immature leukocytes in peripheral blood which means either there is an infection or inflammation present and the bone marrow is producing [bone marrow hyperactivity], more WBC and releasing them into the blood before they are fully mature.
PS. marked leucocytosis with the presence of myelocytes and metamyelocytes, associated with basophilia [5%]: could be chronic myeloid leukemia [CML]. Platelet count may be high initially but ultimately the count falls gradually
3. Consult a Hematologist and close supervision and follow up is necessary

Ayurveda & Leukemia
Detailed Answer:
Dear
Thanks for reverting back
1. It should be clearly understood that I usually start Ayurveda treatment for leukemia as an adjuvant to ongoing radiotherapy/chemotherapy, i.e. in form of
i. rejuvenation: [detoxification]
ii. prevention: [dietary regime and lifestyle changes] and
iii. life prolonging measures (Immunomodulation or Rasayana chikitsa]
PS. So ideal management is to start with chemotherapy and in between Add Ayurveda medicines as an Aid to enhance body’s immune response to the antigen
2. Mine combination therapy consists of first detoxification along with diet and lifestyle and thereafter adding Rasayana Drugs [which strengthen/increases the immunity of person] for a duration of 1 year and then for 3 months of a year for 5 years
[ if interested I can courier you the medicine(s) and yes the result are very much encouraging]
