Question: Is a rapid increase in the RA factor something to be very concerned with. 8wks ago was 14.2 4wks later 19.9 today 32.4

Well , RA factor alone has no significance. IT can be positive in 7 to 10 % of the normal population without having much impact. A bit of variation you are noticing may be due to different kits being used for measurement or different labs.

But yes, I would like to know why are you getting RA factor done repeatedly. If you could throw some light on it, that would be great.

RA factor positive or negative, if one has joint symptoms suggestive of Rheumatoid Arthritis, we can either ways start treatment. It is just s supportive test for the clinical findings the doctor sees, not a diagnostic marker.
