Brief Answer:
Reason for ultrasound needed

Detailed Answer:
Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
Yes mam there are numerous benign lesions which can cause such a picture.
I understand your anxiety related to the issue but there is no need to be this anxious before a proper diagnosis is established.
I would like to know what were the symptoms for which you got ultrasound done and any other investigation if done along.
Waiting for your response so that I can advise you better.

Thank you is there that's reassured me so much !!! Could you tell me a couple of reasons why my ovary is enlarged with this heterogenous texture please? I went to the dr as I had a 3.5 week period in October and he sent me for the scan.novembers period lasted 7 days which is normal for me.i do need a wee frequently but this maybe due to enlarged ovary? My other ovary said enlarged with two simple cysts.and have a 2.5cm fibroid.there was no free fluid in my pelvis and uterus and lining all normal.why does it say on google all heterogenous textures on enlarged ovaries are suspicious it doesn't say anywhere that it can just be normal.thankyou so much XXXXXXX

Brief Answer:
CA 125 levels advised

Detailed Answer:
Sorry for the delay in response Mitchelle, I got struck in an emergency.
At your age no symptom or finding should be left unattended basically so suspicion is just to rule out the definite but less common reasons for enlarged ovaries.
Most common reason in your case is either an endometrioma or a benign cystadenoma.
But both cannot be diagnosed without proper work up so you need to get a CA 125 levels fine and then let's see what is the report and decide further management.
Take care

Brief Answer:
Not related most likely

Detailed Answer:
Yes dermoid cyst can give similar appearance bit dermoid is uncommon after 25 years of age and it has hair and tooth like calcified structure which is easily visible on ultrasound.
Increased frequency of micturition can be due to urine infection or just your anxiety and also seen in cold weather at times.
So don't be anxious while related both these things.
Just get CA 125 levels done and let me know the levels
Take care
