What Causes Lower Right Quadrant Pain After Oophorectomy?
Question: I had an oophorectomy in 2015 for indeterminate complex cyst. It was a cystadenoma and both ovaries were removed. I have had right lower quadrant pain for three to four months. I had a CT scan to find out the cause of the pain (previous hernia repair) two adnexal low density areas were notated on CT scan and transvaginal ultrasound was ordered. This showed bilateral adnexal complex cystic masses. Left measuring 1.7x2.0x2.1cm and right measured 2.2x2.2x4.1 cm and says it is bilobed or partially septated with solid component in superior aspect. The imaging center was extremely argumentative with me in regards to whether or not I truly had my ovaries removed, even though they were removed at their facility. I have the reports and pathology on both ovaries. So needless to say the final report from the radiologist was that patient insists she has no ovaries, two complex cystic lesions, follow up to document resolution. I now am starting to have some pain on the left side as well and the pain I am already experiencing on the right.
