Question: Is apple cider vinegar okay for diabetics?
He is dehydrated from food poisoning and has been drinking pickle juice for relief of cramping. It seems pretty high in sodium, so we're looking for a better alternative to quickly relieve his muscle spasms.

Brief Answer:
Only water is recommended;

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking!
I can understand your concern.
Apple cider vinegar wouldn't be a good alternative in his case.
Food poisoning causes dehydration which can increase the blood glucose. In this situation he should keep drinking water.
You mentioned he has congestive heart failure, so a careful clinical examination and electrolite monitoring is recommended.
Neither pickle juice nor apple vinegar would help.
Check the blood sugar and suggest to drink only water until you see a physician.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
