Question: I am to have a colonoscopy this coming Friday. I am told to not take the blood thinner for 5 days...does that INCLUDE the day of the procedure?

It is stopped because any biopsy is required for examination during the procedure then there will be no increase risk of bleeding.

After the procedure whether to start it immediately or few days later you must discuss with your doctor
