yes i am referring to hyaluronic acid. I take supplements and have been since 1980. I believe is them and i research before i take anything and there are many things out there i would not take. I read where you can take hyaluronic acid and it would help. I really don't think it will. Most doctors do not recommend vitamins due to the drug companies and that they are not educated in the area of vitamins during medical school. I am trying to get a holistic doctor, but they are hard to find. My question was what is the difference between cosmetic and supplement grade hyaluronic acid.

Explained
Detailed Answer:
Hello again
Supplemental hyaluronic acid has shown some degree of benefit in patients with rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis.
It is found in the extracellular matrix (ECM) percolating moisture into the ECM, keeping it moist and promoting a youthful appearance of the skin.
It provides both medical and cosmetic benefit. Hyaluronic acid is used as part of many cosmetics for that reason.
It is one of the main cosmeceuticals promoted these days. 15 g of HA, approx is present in our body. There is no difference with regards to dosing as well. It degrades within 6 months so has to be re administered for both cosmetic and medical purposes.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks
