Is Persistent Use Of Dart For Headache Safe?
Take medications and precautions as advised
Detailed Answer:
Hello S XXXXXXX
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Migraine treatment depends upon number of episodes and days of headache per month.
Prophylaxis continuous treatment is required if headache is 14 or more days involved in a month.
Occasional painkiller for episodes may be taken without problem. Continuous painkiller should be avoided as it may lead to medication overuse headache(10-15 days pain killer per month).
Best way for episodic migraine is to prevent by avoiding fasting, delayed meals, excessive chocolates or coffee and any other known precipitating cause.
