Is Pregnancy Possible Despite Taking I Pill Within 72 Hours Of Sex?
Question: Hi,
I am 31 yrs old, 59kg. I have PCOS. My gynaecologist prescribed me meprate 10mg to take once a day for 5 days as I didn't have my periods even after 40days. 3 days after completing that dose of meprate I had to take i-pill, which I took 15hrs after intercourse. Now when will my periods start? When can I take a pregnancy test ?
My periods were delayed last month as well. Started on 37th day.

Brief Answer:
Less likely to be pregnant. UPT after week of missed period
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to HCM.
I have gone through your query.
As you have mentioned that you have consumed the post coital pill at around 15 hour of unprotected sex, these pills are highly effective with taken within 72 hours. So you are less likely to be pregnant.
Note regarding the urine pregnancy test, they are highly sensitive when done week after missed period and using morning urine sample.
Hope this helps. I'll be glad to clarify your further queries.
Take care.
