Is Repetition Of Rabipur Vaccination Required For A Cat Bite After 1 Week?

Question: Dear Dr.
I took full 5 rabipur injection in 2008. On 19 & 22 February 2016, I took two booster injection. On 29 February, I got bite from a cat. My 1st question, In this situation what should I do?
My 2nd question, what is the effectiveness of booster dose. How long it will give me immunity against rabis? If I will not exposure to any rabis carrying animal, should I have to take any further full 5 rabipur injection/ booster dose?

I am so sorry to hear about this cat bite. I have reviewed your vaccination schedule and there is no further risk as concerns rabies. Rabies booster is all need for the rest of your life and each booster dose protects for 5-10years. You no longer need any full 5 doses schedule of rabies vaccine.
