Stroke can have many different manifestations according to the brain areas which are involved and their function. So technically speaking it can manifest such tingling sensations as well. However it would be uncommon. Usually sensation symptoms from stroke are negative ones, meaning there is loss of sensation as opposed to positive symptoms like tingling which are more typical for peripheral nerve issues.

Whether I still think you should see a doctor...yes I do. As I said there are some areas which may manifest with tingling sensations. Also there could be subtle signs which you haven't noticed but are found on physical neurological exam. In addition the possibility of the tingling episodes being a type of seizure must be considered if episodic. On the other hand there could be signs indicating peripheral neuropathy and you could put your mind at rest. So while you shouldn't be overworried I think you ought to see your primary physician.
