Weight reduction is a particularly demanding issues that when attempting to loose weight, if not strictly following the conditions, one will rather end up gaining weight.

There is no magic about it, it goes by the simple fact that to loose weight, less calories should be taken than required by the body. Food types that are XXXXXXX in calories such as rice, cereals, potatoes, cocoyams, wheat, chocolate etc and Fatty food ought to be grossly limited.
The general trend is
-some of your meals should be vegetables or fruits. but avoid heavy fruits such as pear, banana etc. Go for green vegetables, oranges, water melon, paw paw etc.

-Get yourself always busy and do regular exercises say every other day or daily if possible

-get a book to register all that you eat in a day and try to improve on the list each new day.

Above all, you have to be very determined if you must succeed less you will rather gain weight.
