Ovulation Leading To Sickness. Have Diarrhea, Vomiting, Chills, Fever, Migraine Symptoms. Why Is It Painful?
thanks for the query.
Pain during generally occurs in some women which is called Mittelschmerz syndrome. It can be mild aching pain or even sharp pain. It can last for few minutes or may present even for hours.
Normally occurs in the right side of the abdomen.
If it is not much bothering no need to treat, for severe pain better to take analgesics.
but fever, chills etc are indicating some underlying cause.
the possibilities are,
1.presence of pelvic inflammatory disease: PID can affect ovaries also leading to pain during ovulation, fever, chills can occur in case of PID. Because of increased blood circulation and irritation to surrounding organs because of genital organs infection diarrhea can occur. Increased pain can lead to vomitings and migraine.
2.infection of ovarian cysts: if there is any pre-exsisting ovarian cyst, if it gets infected also all the above features can be seen.
3. generalized infection of other abdominal organs can also present like this.
Now you have to visit local gynecologist and get examined, under her guidance take vaginal swab, ultrasound examination and if needed CT abdomen.
These tests possibly rule out the cause and you can be treated according that.
Hope I have answered your query. I will be available to answer your follow up queries. If you are satisfied with all my answer, please do not forget to accept it.

Thanks for consulting us.
Ovulation may normally be associated with slight lower abdominal pain & a slight rise in body temperature. This is pretty normal. But the symptoms you are quoting cannot be labeled as normal & warrant investigations.
Sometimes after abdominal surgeries like cesarean section adhesion form inside your body & may cover & enclose your ovary. So, when around ovulation, ovary increase in size & release fluid, it causes pain.
There are some substances that are produced in our body at the time of ovulation called prostaglandins. They may produce symptoms like yours in sensitive women.
In addition, some women may become very sensitive with hormonal changes in their body with passing years & feel abnormal & distressing symptoms like yours. This is really very disturbing to routine life.
I suggest you see a Gynecologist in person. Doctor will most probably ask you to maintain a record of your symptoms along with the time of the cycle to confirm that hormonal changes are the real cause of your problem. After confirmation your doctor will be in a position to give you a specific treatment to help you out.
I have given you some possible common explanations to your complain & your clinical examination by the Gynecologist will further shortlist the causes in your case. This will help in your final management.
Hope you get well soon.
Best Regards.
