Hello,
Thanks for writing in.
If you are planning a baby within 6 months then it is best not to take isotretinoin.
It is usually given for 3-4 months. Leaving it early fails its purpose.
It has to be stopped 3 months prior to conceiving, so we do not have a safe period there (as you are planning baby within 6 months).
However, you may use retinoid creams like adapelene 0.1% gel daily at night.
Use clindamycin gel twice daily on active acne.
You may also discuss the option of salicylic peels with your dermatologist.
I would also recommend you to upload a pic of your acne so that I may suggest you better.
Thanks
