Prescribed Estradiol For My Osteoporosis. Was Using Vivelledot. Both Medicines Contain Progestin?

Question: My doctor prescribed estradiol 0.5mg for my osteoporosis. I was useing Vivelledot 0.05 about three years ago, that another doctor prescribed. Does both of these meds contain progestin?
Hello, I would be happy to help you with your question.
1. Estradiol is estrogen only
2. Vivelle dot is estradiol in a transdermal form
In other words, they are both estrogen only without any progesterone. If you still have a uterus, you should be on progesterone as well.
I hope that this helps and good luck!
