Question : My baby has one small red pimple on her belly it does have a small white head on it. She also has one on her cheek and one on her hand. She is 7 weeks old.

Thanks for posting your query.

From the symptoms that you have described these sound like baby acne which appear after a couple of weeks after birth, usually on the cheeks and sometimes on the forehead, chin, belly and the back. These appear as small whiteheads surrounded by reddish skin. It can be due to fabric that's a little rough or that's been washed in strong detergent.

Use plain water or mild baby soap and make your baby wear soft cotton clothes. Also use a mild detergent to wash her clothes. They usually clear up within a few weeks, but it can linger for months. If it doesn't clear up within three months or if your baby has fever, is not feeding well or has any other accompanied symptom like vomiting or diarrhea; then please get it examined from a pediatrician.
