Brief Answer: Csection is totally safe. Detailed Answer: Hi XXXXXXX I can understand your concern and anxiety about the surgery at this age and also really feel sorry about the last mishap. Please do not worry about the caesarean section which is being done electively taking all precautions. Your dr. must also be concerned about this and taking good care of everything. No such major vessels are cut. You are simply a little more anxious. Regarding epidural also leave it to the anaesthetist. This is all a team work and I hope all will be well and fine. No need to worry at all. Yes, varicose vein will not interfere as such but your dr. may give you DVT prophylaxis post- operatively (we usually do so in our practice). Also keep on moving your legs and feet after surgery and early ambulation is advised. Thanks. Anything else, happy to help.
