Hello
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
OCP is taken prior to FET to regulate the endometrium and the menstrual cycle, so if your doctor has advised it, it is better to take it.
Generally FET is done by day 19 of your menstrual cycle.
Take care.
Please feel free to discuss further.

Dr, i actually dint take ocp this cycle.. so that means this month fet will be cancelled?? Or if the endometrial thickness is above 8mm can we go ahead with fet?
Dr actually i forgot to take bcp . Its 9th day since my period started.. can i start taking them from today??
Dr one more question i generally have late ovulation and sometimes no ovulation due to pcos problems. So can it lead to cancellation of fet ??

Detailed Answer:
If the endometrial thickness is above 8 mm, yes, FET can generally be done.
But your treating doctor is the best judge, as other factors and findings are also involved in the decision.
Do not start OCP without consulting your doctor.
Generally there is no point starting it from day 9.
But better still consult your doctor as again, various factors are being monitored which decide what is to be done.
Take care.
Brief Answer:

Detailed Answer:
It generally does not affect FET, since an embryo is already available and being transferred merely.
Ovulation is important for fresh transfer and ovum retrieval.
Take care.
