Small Mouth Sores In Left Cheek, Swelling Of Veins In Right Cheek. Suggestions?
Thanks for posting your query.
Getting mouth sores can be distressing. The commonest cause of such recurrent mouth sores is apthous ulcers. These are sores, which occur repeatedly and have no particular predisposing factor. They are self-resolving (they get better on their own) only to recur after sometime.
You may consider taking multivitamin capsules for about 3 weeks like capsule Becosules or Zincovit. These are available over the counter. You do not need a doctor’s prescription for the same.
There are some oral gels available as well, which can provide symptomatic relief, but are not the long-term treatment. Try Dologel mouth gel. It is also available over the counter and helps in relieving the symptoms and gives you comfort.
If you smoke or chew tobacco, that can be other cause of such sores (which occur repeatedly). Sores in the mouth can also occur if you have a sharp tooth or a denture, which can damage the lining of the cheek.
Hope you get well soon. Please do write back in case you have follow up queries.
Regards.
