Sprained Ankle. No Swelling. Having Pain. Taking Ibuprofen. How Long Is The Healing Process?

Question: Sprained ankle for almost three weeks. No swollen but still lots of pain. Taking ibuprofen 600mgs How long is the healing process or should i go to a specialist?
Hi,
Thanks for consulting us.
3 weeks is a long time. Most ordinary sprains or soft tissue injuries heal within this time. Ibuprofin 600 mg is a very good anti-inflammatory medicine & analgesic.
This is quite good that you don't have swelling but sever pain despite taking medicine is a very grave sign.
You should see an Orthopedic surgeon at the earliest & have X-Ray of the affected area.
The doctor will then give you appropriate suggestions to deal with this problem.
Best regards.
