We don't know yet which of the 4 he'll be prescribed. I don't have a list of the medications he's already taking (we're out of state and haven't gotten to where he is yet.) In general, I know he gets B12 shots monthly for pernicious anemia (I read you shouldn't take blood thinners with PA), something for non-insulin-dependent diabetes (might be metformin, but wouldn't swear to it), something for BP, maybe cholesterol. I don't think he takes any supplements, not sure about aspirin. Has a stent, which I also read you should not take B12 with a stent. Maybe with the blood thinners the cardiologist will remove the stent
I understand the manufacturers of some of these 4 meds have paid out hundreds of millions to settle internal hemmoraging lawsuits. Frankly, I think I'd rather take coumadin. Who cares if you have to get bloodwork every few weeks and stay away from K?
So, if you could tell us the categories of Rx meds that are contraindicated with whatever class of drugs those 4 anticoagulents are in, that would be a start. A list would be even better.
Thank you.

4 - 5 glasses of wine a week, nonsmoker.
