Suggest Dosage For Humalog

Question: My type 1 diabetic husband left two unopened humalog vials unrefridgerated for approximately 7 hours. Can he still use it?

Hello and thank you for asking!
As you know unopened Humalog vials shpuld be kept in refrigerator or (2-8 grade celsius).
In use vials, can be kept in room temperature, up to 30 grade celsius and be used within 28 days.
They are not recommended to be used if left opened for more than 28 grade celsius more than 28 days.
So left 7 hours in room temperature dies not affect it's function.

I am confused.... first you said that unopened humalog insulin must be kept in a refrigerator then you said they are fine being left unrefrigerated for 7 hours.

Unopened may be kept for months in refrigerator, but only 28 days in room temperature.
Once opened, it may be kept in room temperature ( XXXXXXX 30 grade celsius) for a maximum of 28 days ( same as unopened).
So, you can use it for sure.
