Suggest Dosage For Meprate To Delay Menstruation
Question: In order to delay periods for a beach break, i took Meprate for 5 days (since 27 Nov) to delay period - 10 mg once daily per my gynae. However, today i got my periods! I wanted to delay till at least 6 Dec due to my beach vacation. I immediately took 2 tablets of meprate as doc had told me to take double the dose in case of spotting. However, it does not seem like spotting but a normal period since morning today (couple of hours). I really need to stop my periods. What can i do no? My beach vacation starts tomorrow. Please help.

It is difficult to stop it now as it has started already.
Sometimes I give tablet Pause MF 500 mg 3 times a day for 3 days.
You can use the same and see if flow is reduced.

Thanks a lot, Doctor. I will take the tablet you recommended. Two things, please:
1. My gynae suggested I take Meprate 10mg - 2 tablets, thrice a day to see if the periods stop now. In case it doesn't stop after 1 day, then she said it won't work. Can I take meprate recommended dose by her and the Pause MF you suggested together?
2. Is it possible to at least briefly stop the periods as this is more of a 2nd honeymoon vacation for me. I want to at least stop period so that we could get intimate. Anything that I could do for this?

pause MF can reduce the flow to some extent but may not stop it completely.
Since already endometrial shedding is occurring you cannot take any medicines to stop it.
I know it is messy to have sex in this condition. Unfortunately this is the best that can be done. No medicines can help it more than this.
