Suggest Dosage For Meprate

Question: Hi Doctor, I have been advised using Meprate 10 mg twice daily, I am getting married on 19th XXXXXXX and last period I got on 18th Dec. Doctor has advised me to take it from 20th XXXXXXX for 7 days, but my period is bit uncertain it can come on time( 30-36 Day Cycle) or it can get delayed upto 6 days, so how long I can take tablets as I dont want want my periods till 31st XXXXXXX

Hi,

Thanks for posting the query,

If your periods are expected to be on 18th XXXXXXX then you should take the tablets from 15th XXXXXXX and till the date you don't want your periods. Ie. till 31st XXXXXXX But you should not stop the tablets in between. You'll get the periods in 3 days after stopping the tablets. So do not stop in between.

Thank you Doctor for reverting, as you suggested that I can take tablets till I don't want my periods to come but do this tablets have side effects as I don't want any complications for over dosage of tablets as my periods will get delayed by around 12 days and will it effect my future family planning.

Thank you, What should be the Ideal Duration between two tablets since on marriage date that is on 19th if I take tablet at 8 am and second tablet at around 11 pm is it ok? as adviced tablets have to be taken twice daily. Can I take 2nd tablet early or late advice me on both situation and if I take late then how much late I can take the 2nd tablet.Since marriage processions are there.

Not an issue with the time duration. Just do not forget to take the tablet. Take one in morning and one before sleeping.
