Suggest Dosage Of Prednisone And Steroids After Missing One Dose

Question: I had a recent flare up and was instructed to take prednisone 1 mg for 3 to 5 days
I took the steroids for two days and yesterday was outta town without my pills and was unable to take day 3. What should I do
Is that okay? I was only going to do three days so if it's ok for me to stop after just two days with no harm I'd like to stop taking them

Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
In such case I would recommend you to carry on with your 10 mg dose on 4th day and 5th day as adviced.
I would recommend you to carry on with the same dosage for the recommend time and to stop it once you at all have completed the dose.
There is no indication to taper the dose of prednisolone in cases of such short duration intake.
You may take the 4th and 5th day dose now and report your doctor.
