Suggest Home Remedy For Neck Pain

Question: Can you please distinguish between the treatment options- Hot Water packs or Ice packs for treating different injuries & why...?

What to prefer fr neck pain... I do have problems in neck, which can be easily triggered while looking around suddenly(Quick movements)... or due to the routine working on Laptops.... both are diff. unrelated Issues please suggest what to use for prevention/treatment?

Hot water pack causes the blood vessels in the area to dilate and causes the muscles to relax. This improves the blood supply and relieves the pain. Ice packs on the other hand reduce the inflammatory reactions and thereby provides relief.

In case of neck pain, hot compress would be more effective. But hot compress alternating with cold compress will also be helpful.

In case of laptop use, proper sitting posture with back fully supported, monitor at eye level and forearms resting on hand rest is essential. Unless you do that, the condition would not improve. Static neck exercises would be helpful. Google out for the techniques.
