Suggest Remedies For A Pus Filled Lesion On Left Arm Below Elbow

Question: I have an area on my left arm, front side, slightly below my elbow. For at least there has been differently looking skin which turned into a raised area. It would itch so badly, especially at night, that I would thoughtless scratch it and sometimes to the point of bleeding. It changed to a raised "wound?" with a blackish scab. It would change from extremely painful to extreme itch. I took needle nose twisers and dug out the scab and the pain went away until it filled in the area. So I repeated this process for many weeks. The last few scabs have had white "tentacle like" attachments underneath. FYI, I have had two times of squamous cell carsanoma.

I am Dr Saad Sultan and will be answering your query. I have read and understood your health concerns.
Based upon the description provided it is difficult to pinpoint the pathology. Plz do send me the picture of the it so that it can be better appreciated.
One can not rule out squamous cell carcinoma but it is not generally itchy and don't have any fluid.
Is there any lymph node enlargement above your elbow and axilla? And what about your CML? Have you completed the treatment?
I will be waiting for your follow up.

Thank you for your answer. No, my CLM (leukemia) is lifetime. I am taking Gleevec for it. Don't think I have swollen glands but don't know where they are exactly and in the past 6 months I have lost 55 pounds and I was not obese. I maybe needed to loose 15 or 20# so I have a lot of extra skin. I don't feel any pain or tenderness under my arm. This "spot" did not have fluid in it so if I said or implied it, I was wrong.

Welcome at HCM...
I appreciate your follow up.
I would appreciate if you send picture of it for proper interpretation.
No lymph node enlargement tells us it is not an infectious one. CML treated ,,which rules out any bleed under skin.
So most probably it may be a skin conditions , kindly send a picture of the area. There is an option to upload pictures on this page
.
Hope it helps

Have no way to send picture. Thank you for your answers. I have left a message for my doctor to discover and treat whatever this might be. I appreciate your study and input. It makes me know that this is possibly nothing but could be something that needs treatment.
Brief Answer:
Consult dermatologist
Detailed Answer:

I really appreciate your follow up.
Yes, it should be treated by dermatologist. Don't use soap to the affected area and don't rub it.
Local steroid ointment would be of great help.
Kindly close the discussion and in future if you have any query do write to me on HCM.
