Suggest Remedies For Osteoarthritis In The Knees And Shoulders

Question: I have ostio arth in both knees and shoulders.Only Aleve helps but at 6 pills a day.Is the drug that would help me. I am 73 years old with no GI or Cardio problem.

I am sorry to hear that you have osteoarthritis of the knees. Unfortunately there are no treatments that will change the course of the disease. All we have are anti-inflammatory ,medications like advil or aleve that will help with pain control. The maximium dose is written for OTC to 3 tablets a day. The prescription dose of naproxen is 1500mg per day. I would recommend that you see your medical provider to obtain the prescription strength so you don't have to take so much of the OTC medication.
