Brief Answer:
Fast eating

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns that your son is having repeated episodes of hiccups. I would like to ask you few more details.

Is there any cough or dehydration ( loose motions or vomiting) ?

Kindly get back to me with the details.

Most often, physiological causes for hiccups in children are fast eating habits, inadequate hydration, sudden intake of food after after prolonged fasting. Pathological causes could be due to kidney problems or neurological or idiopathic.

Hope this answers your question, if you have additional questions or follow up questions then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your questions
