As far as stretch marks are concerned , it is important for you to understand that it does not disappear completely with medication. With time it fades away. You have to be patient with this.
Treatment, on the other hand , if initiated in early stages has got good results. The maximum effect of treatment is when the stretch marks are red. Once they become white it becomes difficult to treat. Treatment includes topical Retinoids and laser therapy.
If I am your physician , after examination I will advise you topical Tretinoin ( It should not be used in pregnancy) . It has to be applied daily. It takes time to elicit its effect. Laser therapy (Flashlamp pulsed XXXXXXX laser) has got promising effects.Your dermatologist will decide when to use laser treatment
Generally , Adolescents with striae can expect their striae to be less visible with time.
Meet dermatologist for proper management.
