Suggest Remedies To Overcome Anxiety Caused Due To Antidepressants
Question: I have recently started dating a lovely man after being alone for many years. In fact, I have not had sex for 24 years! My libido is very low - part no doubt due to "lack of use", and also due to chronic depression. I know that antidepressants can contribute to this but have finally found one (Zoloft), that is working well for me and do not wish to change it.
How can I prepare myself for that first sexual experience with him under the circumstances? Would I benefit from using any creams etc; and what can I do to overcome my nerves about taking this important next step?

Anxiety and depression are the great killers of sexual pleasures. so the best you can do is to relax and prepare yourself mentally for pleasure, not thinking of how good or bad it would be. You have anticipatory anxiety which is not good. Lay more emphasis on touching, cuddling and other hays of fore play. Zoloft is a good antidepressant and keep it up till all the symptoms clear up. it may affect the desire . if this happens, some rethinking may be needed.
you would need a cream only if there is dryness after menopause. but first let it happen naturally.
