Suggest Remedy For Abdominal Bloating And Pain
Blaoting, rectal pressure, and abdominal pain with normal CT suggest IBS
Detailed Answer:
Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. I am a Gastroenterologist (DM).
Rectal pressure, bloating and occasional abdominal pain in background of normal CT scan suggest IBS that is irritable bowel syndrome. Few things I want to elaborate about IBS so that you can understand it.
1. Is a chronic disease which has relapsing and remitting course
2. It will never harm you even if it will persist for whole life
3. Stress, life events, and anxiety leads to aggravation of symptoms
4. Intestine becomes hypersensitive so even discomfort is perceived as pain
5. Increase gas production leading to abdominal fullness and bloating and rectal pressure
6. No alarming features like weight loss, gastrointestinal bleeding, or fever
Now comin to management part:
1. Do regular aerobic exercise at least 30 minutes / day
2. If you are obese or overweight then you should reduce your weight again by exercise and low caloric diet
3. Observe when you take milk or milk products whether these symptoms worsen, if yes then please avoid them
4.. Avoid carbonated drinks, wine or beer and smoking if you do
5.Take a proton pump inhibitor along like rabeprazole with a prokinetic agent like domperidone
6. Take tablet librax twice a day 1/2 hr before meals, it will take care of both abdominal pain and rectal pressure
7. Also take capsule simethicone thrice a day
I hope I have answered your query and this will help you. If you have any further query I will be happy to answer that too. Remain in touch and get-well soon.
you can use both simultaneously as both have different action
Detailed Answer:
Welcome back. Both are different in the sense that ativan is mainly sedative. While librax is combination of antispasmodic agent and chlordiazepoxide which are very less sedative. So you can use both simultaneously. Wish you a good health
