Suggest Remedy For Chills, Night Sweats And Body Tremors
Question: I had chills, then threw up and at night I sweated and had body shakes, now I have no energy and have a slight headache. I'm only drinking chicken broth and tea and today I had a dry toast. Last Wednesday I had eaten some pulled pork that I had in fridge since previous Friday. Do I have food poisoning or stomach virus or flue?
Brief Answer:
could be either stomach virus or food poisoning
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
It could be either a stomach virus or flu or food poisoning. Luckily both of them tend to resolve on their own.
The most important thing is to stay well hydrated by sipping fluids all day long for the next few days.
Eat whatever you can tolerate.
If you develop high fevers or vomiting that will not stop then see a doctor immediately.
The biggest risk is dehydration so keep up the fluids.
Let me know if you have further questions.
I hope you are feeling bettter soon,

Am I contagious ?
Brief Answer:
possibly
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
If it is a stomach virus then that would be contagious. It would require direct contact to spread it so good handwashing and cleaning of dishes would help prevent spread. Kissing or direct contact could spread it. It would not be contagious just by being in the room with someone.
Hope you feel better soon,
