Suggest Remedy For General Anxiety
Question: I have severe generalised anxiety. yesterday I took a claratyne for hayfever and I woke up feeling agitated and very anxious. It was like having anxiety all down one side . On the side were I get the worst tension and anxiety symptoms. In the end I took half a diazepam and the symptoms eased and I slept a little. My husband wondered if it could be the claratyne as I am very sensitive to many medications.

You husband seems to be right rarely but surelt loratidine can cause irritation aggitation feeling specially in patients who are on anxiolytics.
There is nothing to worry about this the effect wears off with time and in your case diazepam helped you. Next time if you get allergy you csn try using any other anti histamin like Citerizine 10mg daily at night...
Try not to take antihistamin in morning taking them in evening helps to avoid the side effects of sedation and irritability.
At the moment there is nothing to worry about.
Stay calm and dont be anxious about it.
