Brief Answer:
You need antibiotics and pain medications for this!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

This is an infection and requires antibiotics, wound care and treatment for pains. The most commonly prescribed medications for this are cloxacillin, Ibuprofen and daily wound dressing. If the abscesses get bigger, they need to be incised. I know these medications are very basic and should be aboard any ship. Ask the medical personnel on board.

Let me know if this helps or there are difficulties getting this addressed. Also, if you have nay other drugs send to names to me and I will see if they can be used and direct you accordingly.

HI,

I will issue the following recommendation:

Amoxicilin 500mg thrice daily for 7days
Diclofemac 50mg twice daily
Tylenol 1000mg 3-4times daily

Also, there should be cleansing and draining of the abscesses.

Let me know how this is going for you. I wish you a speedy recovery.

Brief Answer:
Unfortunately, you have limited options on the ship!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

There are definitely powerful pain medications and antibiotics. Unfortunately, you do not have these on the ship. I don’t know when you are getting off the ship but it will be important to get further testings. Fevers often suggest something which is going on in the entire body and no skin ointment can address this. For now, continue doing the right things as advised. This will be of great help to you.

When do you get off the ship?

Because that is all you have on the ship, stick to the treatment for that is the best we have available there. If you happen to get off and into the lands, then we shall have many other available options.

Best wishes and let me know what your plans and duration of stay are on the ship.

Brief Answer:
I will recommend you get the wound examined if it is not healed fully!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I will recommend you get the wound examined. If it takes more than two weeks to get fully resolved, then I will not want to recommend any further antibiotics without closely examining the wound.

Thanks and wish you well.
