Suggest Remedy For Red And Dark Discoloration On Face After Using A Hair Removal Cream
Question: Hello doctor i used hair removal cream on a small area on my face..it became red and then dark next day doctor prescribed me desonide lotion,i used it for 10 days,the irritation is completely done and the inflammation reduced but still it is not completely cured its still dry,scaly and dark.what shud i do?

I can understand your concern for the rash over face after the application of the cream. After reviewing your query I can make out that you got contact irritant dermatitis due to the cream.
You have been prescribed a proper cream for the present condition. It take minimum two weeks of period of time for proper healing of of the skin and few more days for falling of the dry scab.
I suggest you to continue the same as directed by your treating doctor.
I additionally suggest you have complete sun protection. You can use a calamine lotion based physical sunscreen to mask the spot. Do not try to touch or pinch or scratch the area.
Once the scab falls off then you might require further sun protection for few more weeks. I further request you to avoid any home based remedies or any other self medications as can further irritate the skin.
