Suggest Remedy For Small Bump In The Vagina

Question: I recently felt a little bump just a little inside the base of my vagina while showering. on examination it looked like a worm! But it's a white-grey like firm growth. This was not there a week ago as I was on my period. Now I feel low abdominal pain on my right side. It hurts when I'm walking or just as I sitting on a hard surface. I'm worried it might be serious as I work in the bush, I'm far from professional medical care. my discharge is normal and there is no itching.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for the query,
This may be a small inclusion cyst - not uncommon to see these in the vaginal area occasionally. These are sometimes also referred to as Bartholin cysts.
Often times these will resolve without intervention. Would not recommend squeezing or pressing on the area. Would try and do some warm soaks in a bath tub once or twice daily as this may help.
As for the abdominal pain - this is likely not related.
If your pain is worse you should try and see a medical professional for a good clinical exam sometime soon.
Sincerely,
Dr. Galamaga

I just researched bartholin's cyst and it's like a swelling, while mine are more like strands. Could this still be the same?
Brief Answer:
Followup
Detailed Answer:
Possibly - give it some time - try the warm soaks and if persistent you should have an exam.
