Suggest Treatment For PCOS
Question: How can I know that I am cured from PCOS?
Brief Answer:
Symptoms and usg
Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Welcome to HCM,
signs of improvement in pcos include weight loss, regular periods, improvement in fitness levels.
Also your blood test will show improvement in FSH L H ratios.
all would depend on your baseline symptoms and blood tests.
Also if your ultrasound showed PCOS pattern there will be resolution of that on usg.
Hope this helps.
Regards.

My period has been irrigular for a while, then the doctor prescribed me birth control pills to regulate my period including Metformin for the PCOS. I stopped taking the birth control pills for almost 2 months and without taking them my last two periods were regular. I stopped taking the birth control pills but I am still taking Metformin. Do you think I should get tested? I still have a few pills of Metformin left inthe bottle. Do I finish them, then go get tested?
Brief Answer:
after 3 months of metformin
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Get checked after at least 3 months of metformin
As metformin takes time to act well.
But do not worry if your periods are regular it's a good sign.
Hope this helps
