
Suggest Treatment For A Large Sore On Neck Causing Neck Stiffness

Question: I have a large sore on the back of my neck that is making my neck/back of head consistently hurt. As well as neck stiff on the left side.

I have gone through your query including photographs and understand your concern. It is most probably boil with cellulitis. It requires antibiotics for infection control and analgesic such as ibuprofen for pain relief. Vitamin B and C is helpful in healing. Local application of povidine iodide ( betadine ointment) with be of help. You can discuss with your doctor about it.
