Brief Answer:
Kindly specify your ankle problem.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM.

I have read your query but unable to assess your problem what you want to share.

Is it ankle ligament tear or sprain or rupture?
If ligament is involved then which ankle ligament?
Do you have a MRI report?
if yes then kindly share it.

Treatment/surgery will depend upon the underlying ankle ligament problem.

Kindly get back to me with specifications.

Dr.Sandip Kabra

Brief Answer:
Laser method can be used.

Detailed Answer:
HI
Thank for sharing the reports.

I have seen MRI the reports you uploaded.

The clinical impression is: accessory navicular bone with subtle edema at synchondrosis. No marrow edema.

In such case the surgery is the only option, but if you can manage the pain with symptomatic medicine and able to bear the pain then no need to go for surgery.

Local pain killer drugs can be used.

Also, there are many newer techniques available in field of orthopedic, better have word with some good orthopedic surgeon if this can be done with laser method in a nice way.

Hope this will help.

Brief Answer:
Suregry would be a better option.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the follow-up.

Surgical treatment of the accessory navicular bone with simple excision has the advantages of less invasive to the posterior tibial tendon and the medial longitudinal arch of the foot.

Also there is shorter time of immobilization of the foot and stay in hospital, small incision with good clinical results.

This procedure is one of the best selective treatments for the accessory navicular bone.

Laser surgery could have slightly more advantage but it is not so popular till date.

You may see some local orthopedic surgeon who will know about it and will guide you better.
